almost 32 weeks along 11 December 2010
Hello everyone.
Almost 32 weeks along. Only 7 more weeks to go if I have a c-section at 39 weeks!!!
Paul and I went to turkey bingo at the officer's mess on the 26th. They had free childcare for the event. We had to pay $5 for his pizza but Logan had a blast. They said he was wonderful and welcome back any time. He also made some crafts and they watched a movie.
We are back from our trip to Vegas. Let's see how much I remember!!!
We left home on the 27th of November and drove down to Parksville and slept over at Marjorie and Jerry's. We were flying out of Vancouver and were planning on walking on the ferry and taking the bus to the airport but with our luggage and Logan etc we decided it would be easier to just drive on the ferry and use the park n'fly. Cost an extra $300 vice $90 or so to walk on and take the bus but was much more convenient, especially with the weather. We had a great visit with Marjorie and Jerry and a great breakfast before we took off on the 28th. Logan said he was staying with them so we weren't sure he was going to come but he decided to come with us. He enjoyed riding on the big boat, and then the park n'fly shuttle, and then the airplane. He loved the escalator sidewalks in the airport as well. We packed sandwiches for lunch and then I took Chilli and a bun on the flight for supper from Timmies and Paul took some asian cuisine. Flight went well. They gave Logan a free pair of head phones since we forgot his. He hardly used them but they are normally $3 each. Flight was a half hour delayed but was a direct flight to Las Vegas.
When we got to Vegas our luggage was off pretty quick and then we grabbed the airport shuttle to the rental vehicles. We had rented from national and when we got into the building there was a sign saying that if you were an Emerald club member to go right up to the garage. We went up and the attendant told us that we could pick any vehicle out of the first 2 hours. We were incredulous because we had rented a corolla mid size. Emerald club gets a free upgrade to standard there so we picked a chevy HHR. It was awesome. We also rented a carseat because Paul didn't want to haul ours way down there. Worked out to an extra $50 for the seat for the week for a total of $203 American which is pretty sweet with unlimited kms. We checked out the car and then headed to the timeshare to check in to our room. We stayed at the Cancun Grand Monarch Vacations Resort at 8335 Las Vegas Boulevard South. Mom and Dad H gifted us a week since they couldn't use it and it would expire. We had originally planned on going to the Dominican but flights didn't work out well for us. We were able to use our aeroplan points and fly to Vegas. Dad flew down to meet us. He came from the 29th-6th and we were there the 28th to the 5th. We checked in to our room and put some stuff away and then decided to head out to wal-mart to pick up some groceries so that we could eat most breakfasts and pack lunches for the week. Thank goodness for our gps. It was amazing!!!! We headed to Wal-mart and got the groceries. Then we came back to the timeshare and hung out a bit before bed.
Monday morning we got up and had breakfast and then decided to check out the outlet mall which was near our timeshare before we picked Dad up from the airport. There was alot of kiosks selling stuff in the centre aisle of the mall and lots of shops. I let Logan go on a ride and that was a disaster because he wanted more more more. We finally got him away and were able to find a stride right shoe store. Mom H always buys Logan stride right shoes which normally run around $60-65 in Canada. We were able to get him a pair for $33. sweet deal!!! Then there was a huge carousel ride in the middle of the mall but I only had $100 American bills and no change so I felt bad Logan couldn't go on it. We finished walking thru the mall and headed back to the timeshare. Dad had called earlier and said they were delayed an hour. By the time we headed to the airport Dad called us enroute and was ready for pickup. I forgot that he had no checked bags. We headed to terminal 1 to find him. We did 2 loops and didn't see him and called him and told him where we were. He mentioned he had taken a shuttle somewhere so I was a little worried but after we parked we saw him so we went and met him and headed for lunch. Logan was very happy to see his Papa and recognized him immediately.
After lunch we took Dad back to the timeshare to stow his bags and then I think we must have went to costco but can't remember. Paul got some cheap booze. We picked up a pizza for $10 for supper and then hit wal-mart and then home again.
Tuesday we decided to try and see the grand canyon. Due to some bad info on the internet we ended up in Peach Springs, Arizona on route 66. There is nothing there. We would have had to drive another hour to Williamsburg and then 2 hours north to the south rim. We decided to turn around and head back to Vegas. We should have went to the west bowl which is where the tourist trap clear walkway is. I am not that disappointed that we didn't see it but Paul regrets missing it. We did see the Hoover Dam which was super cool!!!! Logan ran all of the way up the walkways and down!!! We took the stairs for some of them!!! On the way back to Vegas we stopped at the Hacienda Casino/hotel for supper since they were having an $8.95 all you can eat prime rib buffet. Due to my gestational diabetes I had to contain myself so I had a reasonable meal. Was a great deal!!! $8.95 even included drinks!!! Then we headed back to the timeshare. Paul and Dad decided to hit the strip that night for some gambling. I know they went to the MGM but craps was $10 so Paul ended up going to Planet Hollywood for awhile. Then they went downtown as well. I stayed home with Logan.
On Wednesday we did some laundry and then Dad walked to the pharmacy for some exercise. Logan and Paul decided to go swimming. I booked this particular timeshare for Logan because of the waterslides and pool but unfortunately he was too short and they wouldn't let him on. Worked out well for Paul since it was only 55 F out and the water was 85. He froze his feet when they were dry walking to the top of the waterslide. They had a blast swimming. We lucked out. We were supposed to have to pay for laundry but the machines on our floor ended up free!!!
After laundry at some point we headed out and went to the Silverton Casino to see the aquarium. Was super cool. Then Paul and Logan shopped at Bass Pro shop while Dad and I played some machines. Then we drove down the strip. We stopped at the MGM and Dad played the machines while we went to see the Lion Habitat. Then we went to M&M world and then we all headed downtown to the Gold Spike for a $5.95 12oz prime rib dinner!!!! Another sweet deal. Then we parked at bunions and Paul, Logan and I went to see the laser light show and Dad played some machines. Logan loved the light show and danced around. People enjoyed his dancing.
Wednesday night Dad and I headed to South Point for Bingo. Close a few times but didn't win. It was so smoky in the casinos my throat, nose and eyes were sore all week.
Thursday morning Paul, Logan and I headed out to some scrapbooking stores to take a look. Then Thursday afternoon we went to Callaway golf centre and Dad and Paul got some souvenirs and then we took Logan to Circus Circus Adventureland. He had a blast. We watched Spongebob and Dora in 4D and he went on alot of rides!!! After we got home, Paul and Dad headed out to the Silverton for some gambling and I stayed home with Logan and watched Grey's anatomy and Private Practice.
Friday we chilled out for a bit and then we headed to town. We went to the mirage and saw the dolphins, and the lions and tigers. Was alot of fun. Then we went and saw the fountain show at the Bellagio. Logan loved it as did we. Dad played some machines while we were doing that. Friday night Dad and I headed to South point for a couple of hours. $20 lasted me 2 hours and then we went back home. Paul stayed with Logan.
Saturday we drove down to Boulder City so I could take Logan on the Santa train. It was only $4 each and we rode the train for 40 minutes. 20 minutes one way and then back to the station on a real train. Logan loved it. Dad and Paul went to the Hacienda. Then we stopped at Jo-anne's scrapbook store for me and costco for them. After that Wal-mart I believe and then back home to the timeshare. Dad watched Logan saturday night and Paul and I went to see the Phantom of the Opera. $104 total for the 2 of us to see the show which was amazing. On the way home Dad called and said that his nose had been bleeding for the last 2 hours. We hurried home and Paul took Dad to the ER since he is on blood thinners and we were really worried. They were there for 2 hours or so and I hung out with Logan and packed. They got home at midnight. They put a "tampon" thing in Dad's nose. Apparently it hurt like hell and Dad's leg was shaking and his eyes were watering. She shoved it up there and then realized it was the wrong size, so pulled it out and put in a smaller one. They also gave Dad some insulin since his was high. He was supposed to leave that thing in his nose for 5 days. I was happy that he was alright. Worried about the bill though. They didn't give them one but they have his address so I am sure it will be in the mail.
Sunday morning we were up at 0615 and finished packing up and tidying up the rooms. Paul and I had a sweet king size bed in our room and a regular crt tv. We had a huge jacuzzi tub and double sink bathroom ensuite. Dad and Logan shared a room with 2 twin beds. They also had a bathroom with a big tub and 2 sinks. We all had awesome duvets. The living room was pretty sparse but had a fold down queen couch and a crt tv and a dvd player. Dad & Logan's room had a flat screen tv on the all. Then we packed up the HHR and managed to fit everyone's stuff in. I took an extra duffle bag for the purchases. I looked online and we were only entitled to one bag each so we were lucky we only took 2 bags down and the third bag back counted as Logan's. We stopped at Denny's and had one last breakfast together and then took Dad to the Station house hotel and Casino where we had found him a room for $20. They then charge you an extra $16 or so to cover phone calls and the gym and the shuttle to the airport. Unfortunately Dad's flight was at 0650 on the 6th and the first shuttle is at 0600 so he still had to spend $20 on a cab. I checked Dad in and we were lucky that he could have his room at 0830 instead of waiting till 1500. I was still really worried about going and leaving Dad. Then we took him to the pharmacy and then back to the hotel and dropped him off. As per always, I cried as we drove away. Man I love my Dad. We had such a great visit even though Logan was so moody!!! Crusty pants is what I call him!!! Then we headed to top of with fuel and then back to the rental car place to drop off the vehicle. Was soooooooooo fast. The attendant came with a little machine and printed our receipt and told us to grab the shuttle to the airport. We did that. Logan loved the airport shuttle bus because he didn't have to sit in a car seat!!! Then we checked our bags and went to wait for the plane. Everything was on time. I love pre-boarding!!!!! This time Logan wanted the window seat so Paul sat in the middle. We had a lunch packed with us and ate that. Logan fell asleep shortly. I got to finish watching Eat Pray Love which I watched on the way down, and then I watched Good Company. Paul had a short nap for a bit and I'm not sure what he watched. We grabbed our bags and grabbed the shuttle to the park n'fly. You call a number when you land and they have your vehicle ready for you when you get there. We paid and since it was already 1500 decided that the 1700 from horseshoe bay would be our best bet vice the 1545 from Tsawassen. It took us forever to get there due to all of the traffic and then we had supper on the ferry. It was soooo expensive. Total gouge! Then we got off the ferry and dropped by Marjorie and Jerry's to pick up some stuff we had left there and had a quick visit. Logan was sleeping in the car!!! We got home to our freezing house!!! We had turned the heat down so it was really chilly. Didn't get home till just before 2100. The power went out some time that night and came back on at 0500 waking us up. Paul had to work so off he went. I was off all week till the 10th.
Logan and I hung out all week. I got all of my Christmas cards ready to go and then the post office said they would cost me $2 each because they were too thick. I had to open them all and undo all of my origami to make it slim enough to go on one stamp. I had around 100 cards so I couldn't afford $2 each. Got them all fixed by Wednesay night. Then I stayed up till 0400 Thursday morning doing Mom & Dad H's, my parents, Grandma Richard, Nana & Papa, and Grandpa Hacker's gifts. I finished them all and slept till 0630 and then ahd to get up to go to MIR. They didn't have any DEU's left for me at stores so I have a chit to wear civies for the rest of the pregnancy which is awesome!!! I also have a referral to Dr Marnie Grant for some chiro. I am hoping she can help our my poor pelvis. I have only gained 10 lbs so far this pregnancy so I am super happy about that. Things seem to be going well with my diabetes and I am eating way healthier than before so that is all good.
Wednesday night Paul had hockey and then we set up the Christmas tree. Logan loves it. He loves using the Christmas music juke box that Marjorie and Jerry gave us last year. I think it is an antique. He dances around to the music. He also loves playing with this teddy bear attached to a snow globe. When you press his paw the snowglobe snow gets blown around and it sings a song. He slept with it the first night! Thursday morning he got up and told me the power was off on the santa tree. He thought the power wasn't working and I explained that we unplug it at night!!! Was so cute.
I worked yesterday and then I am on again today then sunday night and monday night then I am off for 8 days before my next shift!!! Paul went out to his sqn Christmas party last night and I think he is going to UFC at the mess tonight. Tomorrow I will spend with Logan while Paul patrols at the mountain. Thursday Logan will go to daycare since I have a meeting at work and then it is sticky floor (drink fest) and I have a pre-natal Dr.'s appointment. Paul is off for the holiday from the 18th-2nd of Jan. He is patrolling the night of the 19th and the day of the 20th and probably the 28th.
I work days on the 22nd and 23rd and then Christmas eve night and Christmas night.
Then my last work shift before I go on leave before the baby is the 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th of Jan. I am in the home stretch and this pregnancy seems to have went by super fast.
Pics to be posted when I get a chance.

November 23 2010
29 weeks along.
Pelvis is still killing me. Having to walk slower.
I had my appointment last Tuesday with the OB and the bad news is that I failed the diabetes screen. Then on Wednesday I was retested with a fasting diabetes test. I failed the blood test before the glucose drink, after 1 hour and after 2 hours. This means that I have gestational diabetes.
I have since found out I have alot of the risk factors: over 30, previous baby over 9 lbs, overweight, family history.
Today Paul and I went to the diabetes clinic at the hospital and they set me up with a blood glucose testing machine and some strips and some lancets. We also met with a dietician and hopefully we will be able to make some changes and get my sugar under control with diet and exercise. Exercise pelvis permitting. Makes it hard to walk when you are in pain.
Then when I got back to work I called the base pharmacy and they use a different machine and strips and lancets so they gave me a different machine to use and enough lancets and strips for awhile.
There is an 80% chance that I will not have type II diabetes after the pregnancy.
They think I had it last pregnancy towards the end of my pregnancy because Logan was 10 lbs.
It is a little depressing and very stressful at this time, trying to manage food since I still have alot of food aversions and a very sore pelvis.
On a good note we leave for Vegas on Sunday the 28th of November. We are really looking forward to some family time. The resort has lots of waterslides so I am sure Logan will be very happy! We will be home on the 5th of December.
We had snow on the weekend and it has been cold. Followed by more snow yesterday. Still cold. Too cold for me anyway. We are expecting more snow tomorrow as well.
That's all for now.
Love Rae-Lynn, Paul & Logan and baby boy Hacker.

Almost 28 weeks!!!!
Things are going well although my pelvis or pubic bone or something down there is starting to hurt. Getting pretty big too. The bump anyways. This little guy loves to move around though. Had my pregnancy diabetes test today and this time didn't fall on my face on the way over so that was a nice change from my first pregnancy. Won't know the results till my Doctor's appointment on Tuesday.
Last weekend I had a whirlwind trip to Ottawa for the CF National sports awards. I left 1105 friday morning and had a 5 hour layover in calgary arriving in Ottawa at midnight. We stayed at the Holiday Inn downtown. Was very nice. Then I slept in a bit and then Julia came over for a visit. Trip was so quick I couldn't see all of my Ottawa friends. Then at 1700 I was in my maternity dress uniform for the gala. We had a bus over to the National Art Gallery of Canada and then some mingling. Awards presentations from 1800-1830 in the theatre and then supper at 1900. We had a spring salad, then Squash soup and a bun, then a cornish hen with potatoes and vegetables, and then a chocolate mousse for dessert. Was super fun. There was another pregnant airforce captain wearing the maternity outfit with the pants. I had on a dress. She won an award and 3 or 4 people congratulated me and I told them it was the other prego that got an award.
BGen Vance was there. My General from my deployment so was nice to catch up with him.
Got back to the hotel just after 2300 and talked to Paul and Logan and then headed to bed. Up at 0445 to catch the shuttle to the airport at 0515 and home by 1100 on Sunday. Thank goodness for daylight savings. Then I was off all week until today.
Yesterday Paul, Logan and I attended the Remembrance Day ceremonies in Comox. Was great although cold, rainy and windy. Logan was very well behaved.
Today Paul is on leave with Logan and I am on the dayshift. Dayshift again tomorrow and then nights sunday night and monday.
Looking forward to our trip to Vegas on the 28th of November for a week!!!
Paul is getting screwed over again at work so we will see what happens with that.

31 October Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween everyone. We had a great Halloween here. Friday night I took Logan to the Hallowicked party at the base. He went as Buzz Lightyear. It was sooooooooooooooo loud. We did the haunted house and then came home. I watched Sex and the City 2 and it was awesome!!!!
Saturday night Logan did some trick or treating at the Comox Mall which was also a tonne of fun. Logan went as Thomas the tank Engine. Today we went to Nanaimo to Costco and then Michaels of course. Then we stopped in to see Aunt Marji and Uncle Jerry. A big happy birthday to Aunt Marji. We had a great visit. Logan cried when it was time to leave. Then we came home and the 3 of us went out trick or treating for a bit and then came home to hand out treats!!! Was so much fun. Was windy and cold and raining a bit though but we had fun. Logan got quite the haul!!!Today he was Thomas the Tank Engine again.
Logan was super helpful handing out the treats at home to the "kids". He loved it. He is very helpful these days. He also has his stubborn moments mind you!!
We are looking forward to our vacation at the end of November first week of December to Las Vegas. We just found out that my Dad is going to join us so that will be super fun. Mom and Dad H were unable to join us.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend with family and awesome food! I am so lucky to have such a wonderful cook for a husband!! We had a fabulous meal last night!!!
IT'S A BOY!!!! We had our 3D/4D ultrasound on Saturday in Nanaimo at Baby's First Images. They were wonderful. At least we will save a fortune on baby clothes and toys since we have everything from Logan!!! The best part was when she switched to 3D and I asked if it was the baby's scrotum we were looking at and she said "That's the baby's face". LOL.
Pics to follow some time this week when I am able to scan them.
That's all of our news for now.

6 Oct part 2
I forgot to mention that yesterday was Grandpa Hacker's (Paul's Dad)53rd birthday too!
I also forgot to mention that on October 1st Nadia gave birth to their beautiful daughter Daphne Fern. We are so happy for them. All of my friends seem to be having girls and the chinese calendar predicted a girl for us so we shall see what happens.

My little boy turned 3 yesterday. Where has the time gone?
We celebrated his birthday on Saturday since I was working last night. We picked up a diary queen oreo ice cream cake for him and he loved it. We had a sparkler #3 and a regular #3 on top. He loved blowing out the candles so we kept re-lighting the candle for him to blow out. We gave him a big boy bike with training wheels but he isn't that much of a fan of it right now. We gave him a helium balloon with the bike which he loved till he accidentally took it outside and let it go and then started to cry. He pushes forward and backward on the pedals. Hopefully he will figure it out soon. We also gave him a little Thomas the tank play set, and a cars pillow. Then we took him to McDonald's for supper and he played for almost an hour at the play place. He had a blast. Then some more cake for dessert. Father came over for cake.
I worked Sunday and Monday day shift and then Tuesday night and tonight. I kept Logan home with me yesterday and we had a great day together. He is loving his birthday!!! We ran some errands together and then I took him to the mall to ride the rides. He went on all 3. The 2 cars and then the horse carousel.
On Sunday Marjorie and Jerry came up to celebrate with Paul and Logan. They went out for supper to pizza hut and had some Apple Cake that Aunt Marjorie had brought. They gave Logan an inflatable bouncer with a basketball net. We inflated it last night and he played with it a bit.
My 10 year RMC reunion was on the weekend but it would have been way too expensive to attend. If we were living in Ontario I definitely would have went. Oh well, maybe the 20 year LOL!
Baby has been kicking up a storm lately. Only I can feel it though for the time being. The drugs seem to be keeping the nausea at bay which is nice.
I am off for Thanksgiving so we should have a nice weekend here with some good family time.

30 Sept 2010 21 weeks and counting.
Hello again.
I had my ultrasound on the 14th of September and everything went well. We didn't bother with the picture this time since it would have been a huge pain in the butt. We had it done downtown and we would have had to go to the hospital and wait etc etc. We were both working so had to get back to work after the ultrasound. Was nice to see that everything was great. They said the baby has a beautiful heart that is very strong. The baby was moving around quite a bit and kicking which made the ultrasound take longer.
On the 15th we found out that Paul was allowed to come to the CF Appreciation BC Lions football game in Vancouver that I was already going to. We were so happy. We had transportation to the game, lunch supper and breakfast the following day and the hotel and the game paid for. We had a blast. Unfortunately BC lost to Hamilton. We had to go in our uniforms to the game but other than that we got to wear civilians.
When we got to the hotel on Saturday my friends Andrew and Nancy came to see us which was nice. They used to live in Kingston but now live in Burnaby. We went out for a late lunch early supper with them.
The only crazy thing with the weekend was trying to find childcare. Gill had originally said she would watch Logan since she was already watching Laurel's kids but that fell through late Thursday night but I finally managed to find care for Logan. It cost an arm and a leg but he had a blast. Man it would be nice to live close to family for times like that. All in all the weekend was awesome.
Paul then worked a paint night on the the 20th so was nice he could sleep in. He had to be in at work at 1430. He ended up having an impromptu quiz on general ACS knowledge from the Master Warrant Officer that he didn't do well on. He did however know where to find the answers which I would think would be more important. He ended up testing the rest of the apprentices and they all crashed and burned too which was good because it shows they are all at the same level. We are now waiting to find out if Paul will be granted his qualification or not. They are taking their sweet time telling us anything.
On the 21st Paul had his first hockey practice of the year. The season of skiing and hockey is fast approaching. The season I hate since we never see him.
I had a Dr. Appointment on the 22nd. I was at 20 weeks and I finally got some diclectin to help me deal with the nausea and vomiting. I started it and it seems to be making a difference although I find it makes me very very tired.
Then on the 24th I headed to Parksville for my scrapbooking weekend with Gill and Laurel. I headed down there just after 1300 on Friday and checked in to the hotel and was ready to scrap at 1500 when it opened. Gill and Laurel were supposed to leave home at 1500 but didn't end up leaving till almost 1700 and didn't get there till after 1800. Gill headed up to bed at 2000 because she was tired. Gill and Laurel worked Friday. I was lucky to be off. Laurel and I headed up at 2200. We were hoping to get a good night sleep to prepare for our 20 layouts workshop on saturday but it didn't work out that way. It was after midnight before we got to sleep. We were up just after 0700 and headed to Smitty's for breakfast. Lunch was included. Then we had supper at BP. Saturday was super awesome. I think Gill left at 2200 but can't remember but Laurel and I scrapped till midnight and then headed up till the room. I didn't get up till 0900 or so on Sunday and showered and put my stuff in the car and managed to get there in time to have some of the continental breakfast. I had some yogurt and a muffin. Was good. Then I finished up some titles and embellishments from my layouts from Saturday and did a couple more. I packed up at 1200 and headed home early. I could have stayed till 1500 but I missed my boys and I was done everything I had prepped and was tired. Logan had called me Saturday night. Paul said that he brought him the phone and said call Mommy. Poor little guy missed me. Was so good to see him and Paul after an awesome weekend. I came home and passed out in bed I was soooo tired. Logan took a nap with me and when he woke up he had a fever so we thought he was getting sick. That lasted a couple of days but he is good to go again.
Paul went to UFC at the mess on Saturday night as well.
Tuesday the 28th Paul had hockey again. I have been home with Logan all week and go back to work on Sunday.
I have been very tired and not sure if it is from the diclectin or not.
As I look at Logan across the table from me I can't get over how adorable he is. He is such a little sweetheart. Stubborn but still a sweetheart. We are so proud of his potty training.
It is funny that he thinks he has a baby in his belly and that Daddy has one too!!!
On the 18th of Sept my friend Colleen gave birth to a beautiful baby girl Fiona Pearl a month and half early. She is only 3lbs 1 oz but she is feisty and edoing well. My friend Jeanette gave birth to a baby girl Annabelle on the 4th of September as well. On the 27th of September my friend Brenda gave birth to a boy Reid Arthur Eden. We are now waiting for Nadia and Phil's daughter to be born. She is due on the 4th of October but could come anytime.
That's all for now.

Hello again.
Not much is new for us. Already mid sept!!! I am currently at 19 weeks and counting. I have an ultrasound tomorrow so that will be nice to see the baby again and get a new pic! I have looked at some girl and boy ultrasounds online and we'll see if they help me determine the sex tomorrow since they won't tell me. We are planning on doing the 3D/4D ultrasound at 30 weeks are so but that is still far away.
On the 11th of Sept Paul and I took Logan to Kidsfest downtown. He had a blast. Free since he is only 2. He had his face painted, looked at a big dinosaur, made a volcano explode, played on some bouncy castles, blew bubbles, rode on a train ride. We only went for an hour but it was fun.
Sunday evening Paul went fishing and didn't catch any.
The long weekend I worked the friday and the saturday day shift, and then the night of the sun and mon. Paul and Logan camped out at the fish & game Saturday and Sunday night. I was exhausted after my shift on saturday but I headed out there anyway. It was fun. We had a fire with smores! At 2200 Logan said, I'm tired Mommy, Logan's bed. Was so adorable.
Logan is still potty training like a champ. An accident here and there but for the most part, really really good. So proud of the little guy! Finally got his hair cut last thursday as well and he looks adorable.

Wow I can't believe it has been so long since my last post. We have been keeping busy.
I am now at 17 weeks and still sick. Gotta love puking up bile first thing in the morning, especially at work. not.
Paul has done some fishing in August. Logan and I did a tonne of swimming at Barb & Gary's house!
I started working on my Christmas cards. They are very time consuming this year but I love them.
Last Saturday night we took the trailer out to Shannon & Trent's and camped in their yard. The boys watched UFC and the girls hung out. We played ladder golf too. Logan had a blast on their property. He spent the day with Shannon and Avery. I got home from my night shift saturday morning and they picked up Logan at 0900 to take him to the Courtenay Exhibition. He went on lots of rides and had Thomas the Tank painted on his face and had a blast. He loved running around the property looking at the chickens, the 4 baby deer, their pet rabbit, playing on the trampoline etc. He was wiped that night when he fell asleep.
The biggest news to report is that I have been doing some hard core potty training with Logan since the 20th of August. On his first day of training using cloth training pants he had 4 pees on the potty. On the 21st we went to Costco so we didn't train. On the 22nd he had 3 pees and a poop on the potty. 23rd 5 pees, 24th 4 pees, 25th 5 pees and a poop, 26th 4 pees, 27th 5 pees, 28th didn't train because of the courtenay ex, 29th 7 pees, 30th 6 pees with one being because he said to go and so he went, 31st, 5 pees and a poop and he said he had to poop and then he went on his own even taking off his training pants. I am sooooooooooooooooooo proud of my little man. Today he has had one pee on the potty all on his own as opposed to me randomly putting him on the potty.
I am off till this Friday. Then I work Friday and Sat days, and then sunday night and monday night. It is the first long weekend that I have had to work so I can't complain.
On the 18th of Sept I get to go the bc lions versus hamilton tiger cats game in vancouver with the military. Will be fun. Still waiting to find out if Paul gets to go. There is a chance.
Then the weekend after that I am away to an all weekend scrapbooking event with Gill and Laurel down in Parksville at the Beach Hotel. I can't wait.
I have my next ultrasound on the 14th of September.
I have been spending tonnes of time with Barb and having a blast. I really love crafting and being creative. I am also reading tonnes. I really love the author Luanne Rice.
We watched the Last Song and the Back UP Plan the other day. They were good. The book the last song was sooooo much better than the movie though. Isn't it always like that!!
Logan is talking more and more each day and is still the cutest kid I know.
Paul is doing well at work and is on his final project.
Love Rae-Lynn, Paul and Logan

5 August
Had my first pre-natal doctor's appointment on the 26th of August. Was great. I got to hear the baby's heartbeat!!!! Always awesome!
Paul was off from the 24th of July - 2 August so that was nice. He had Logan for the first few days while I was working before we had some family time off together. He made it to Campbell River fishing on the the 27th during the day.
On the 30th of July I took Logan down to Qualicum Beach area because there is a waterslide. Got all of the way there and then they said he was too short and doubles aren't allowed. It was very very annoying. We decided to head to Parksville and I took him to the play area and he had a blast. Then back home. On the weekend Paul, Logan, Tikka and myself headed out to Maple Lake one of the evenings to do some fishing but didn't catch anything or even get any bites.
One afternoon maybe Thursday afternoon the 3 of us tubed down the river from the condensory bridge to Lewis Park. We had a blast.
Logan and I have been doing alot of swimming at Barb's which is fun. Logan always cries whenever we leave. He loves following Gary around and is quite good at swimming around in his lifejacket!! He is really enjoying the water.
I was back to work as of this wednesday so was nice to have the whole long weekend off with my boys and a little longer.
I have been reading a tonne lately and it is great.
Logan is talking better and better every day. He loves to say "exciting" which is totally adorable as well as "not" among other things.
Not much else going on except that I am still sick. I threw up my lunch on the weekend. This morning I threw up all of my breakfast and then came in for my 12 hour shift. Good times!
Hope I feel better soon.
