Feb 4 2011 Our family is complete

Our family is finally complete.

Finn Alexander Richard (my maiden name) Hacker was born at 1719 by C-section on the 31st of January. Weighing in at 8 lbs 1.4 oz, 21 1/4 inches long. He was a 10/10 on the apgar scale they use to rate babies which is fairly rare!!!! He is completely adorable and a wonderful baby. I was supposed to have a c-section on the 2nd of Feb but Finn decided to come early and I went in to labour Monday morning.

I thought I was just having pooh pain for awhile but eventually they turned into contractions and Paul was called home from work. He got on the phone right away and called Marjorie and Jerry and they drove right up to watch Logan for us. At 1330 we headed to the hospital. I had had enough of the contractions and asked for a c-section. We weren't able to go for the surgery till almost 1700. They gave me some fentanol to help take the edge off but it didn't work that well. My contractions were long and strong and 3-4 minutes apart the whole time we were waiting and nothing was happening with my cervix anyways so we went for the c-section.

The surgery went super well and I was re-united with Paul and Finn at around 1930 or so.

Thank goodness for Marjorie and Jerry. They took wonderful care of Logan from Monday till wednesday morning when we came home from the hospital. They are so wonderful to us. Logan had blast with them and didn't miss us at all.

Logan is the best big brother ever and loves his little brother soooo much. He is always hugging and kissing him and wanting to hold him.

My milk finally came in on wednesday after I took Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle. Finn is super healthy and is a great eater. The public health nurse came by today and was happy with how well he is doing. He is 7 lbs 13 oz today so should be back up to his birth weight in a few days. I am healing well. | am a little sore on the right side of my incision but fairly mobile and very happy and doing well. Finn is like a mini mini Logan. The pics make him look big but he is really tiny in person. His little feet. He has zero chub except on his face a bit. So weird having a small baby!!!!

Nana arrived today and will be here till the 13th of Feb. We are thoroughly enjoying her already especially Logan.
